CRIME VICTIM SERVICES

 

 

The Crime Resistance Involvement Council (CRIC) provides social and emotional support to senior victims of crime, provides community referrals for victims and seeks to minimize future victimization of all seniors.  CRIC is a collaborative effort of the Center for Aging Resources and the Pasadena Police Department.

 

 

SERVICES OFFERED

 

·        Home security checks, lock changes, window pinnings and referrals.

·        Peer counseling and professional psychotherapy.

·        Public safety presentations to the Pasadena senior adult community.

·        Passport to Safety: a photo identification system which helps police officers identify seniors who suffer from memory impairment and contacts their caregivers to ensure a safe return home.

·        Postal Carrier Alert Enrollment.

The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm

 

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?

 

Residents of Pasadena aged 50 or older.  Services are available in English, Spanish, Japanese and Armenian.

All services are free for senior residents of Pasadena.
