ELDER ABUSE SERVICES

 

 

The Elder Abuse Prevention and Intervention Program (EAPIP) works to prevent elder abuse in at-risk individuals and their families, and intervenes with victims of elder abuse and their families to increase future safety. 

 

 

SERVICES OFFERED

 

·        Short-term individual, family, and group psychotherapy available at home, community centers, or The Center for Aging Resources.

·        Prevention workshops about elder abuse for lay and professional audiences.

·        Case management offered to those who are at risk for or are victims of elder abuse.

·        Outreach in the community to facilitate access of services.

 

HOURS AVAILABLE

 

The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.  Appointments are available by arrangement in client’s homes, at the Center or at other community sites. 

 

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?

 

Low to moderate-income senior residents of Pasadena and their families.  All services are available in English, Spanish, Japanese and Armenian. 

 

HOW DO I PAY?

 

All services are free for senior residents of Pasadena.  Elder abuse services are funded by a Community Development Block Grant of the city of Pasadena.
